Character design, level design, and web design for a classic arcade-inspired responsive video game for Australian pop band ‘5 Seconds of Summer’.

The game was launched 12th May 2014, played more than 250,000 times in its first 48 hours, and more than 1 million times as of the beginning of August.

The fans, in their excitement to play the game, actually helped us discover the limits of our hosting by taking the site down within thirty minutes of its publicising. For me, an opportunity to create a holding page that looked that much more retro.

#Hungry5SOS was the top trending hashtag worldwide that day and was still being tweeted almost three months later.

Having left such an impression on their fans, an official t-shirt was produced for posterity.
