Schuster in his Textured Glory

Pencil and photo composite of Mr. Schuster wearing his favourite shirt and standing on carpet, as usual.

This is Mr. Schuster, in socks and standing on carpet. Not a fan of shoes, is Mr. Schuster; traumatic history and that.

I’ve been working with found images, to compose the textures for his clothing and flesh. Using the Linear Burn blending mode seems to work really nicely to accentuate the pencil marks. I also found Puppet Warp to be very useful, particularly on the trousers. Below is a comparison of the result of the textures without line, and the original image without textures to see how it works.

Seperation of the photography and pencil drawing composite to show how the two interact and exist separately.

I wish I’d paid more attention to the body like I had with his face! I keep surprising myself with my patience, and ability, but mostly patience.
