Life is Good

Photograph of a charcoal life drawing, figure is sat with arms somewhat crossed and supporting head with left hand.

All is well, not much to report. Okay, so currently my head hurts from sitting outside the circus today on a fishing stool with a small set of watercolours and achieving a sub-par painting, but otherwise, I feel a bit less stressed/stressy. Maybe it’s the fun of a new project or two, and ignoring that I still have stuff to do from the last… hm.

I have a presentation to present tomorrow, it’s going to be a fun way to make me choke again – like at that big crit we had – in front of my fellow illustrators. It’s odd, I never get nervous like that singing sub-par songs to a bunch of people I’ve never met before.

Also, I could do with an income. An earned one, y’know, not like a “oh here you go, have some money for tuition and we’ll just remind you about it every time you try to earn it for real”.

So apart from that rant I pretty much had, all is well. I love it here, so much good happens. Like my tutor cycling past me sat outside the circus late on a Friday night, stopping, and giving a tutorial to Gina, Josh and I, while her boyfriend waits on the path; that made my week.

Here’s the circus from where I drew it the other day:

Exciting, huh?
